Technoratatouille

Since I last used tags it has become easier to do. Still not too sure that students will want to read a blog if it only talks about boring stuff like new books in the library. Can only try and if it is easily accessable but still not visited then it will be because it is boring. It would be just too easy to make it all about new books/serials with pictures of the covers (see right)for brightness but if it isn't looked at you are time-wasting.

4 angles & virtual worlds

Watched "You only live twice" and thought it wasn't for me. Also looked at the 4 corners website - still not me and I can't see that it has any applications for libraries.
But a new virtual reality game called Reach Out Central attempts to address the problem of teenage depression and suicide. It was developed by the Inspire Foundation in consultation with psychologists, young people and computer gaming experts, with funding provided by the Sony Foundation and Beyondblue. It is available at the following URL - http://www.reachoutcentral.com.au/
So maybe it could be a tool for library instruction so long as young people and computer gaming experts were involved in the development of a program.

Found

I found an RSS feed in Blackwell Synergy, so did a search on the topic of Information Literacy then set up the feed for that topic. It will be interesting to see what newly published articles are picked up by this feed in the next month.
